About
Nico Joiner is a canine behaviour and welfare specialist with more than 18 years of experience in training, rehabilitation, and rehoming. Before joining Omni Pet, Nico built his career at Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, where he played a leading role in developing its national rehabilitation and behaviour programmes.
During his time, he led the creation of Specialist Rehabilitation Units, creating better ways to understand and rehome dogs with complex needs, helping more rescue dogs settle successfully into new homes.
Nico has mentored and supported behavioural teams across the UK such as his talk, "One Step at a Time - Dealing with Challenging Dogs in a Shelter Environment," presented at ICAWC 2015.
