          Scared of the outside world

Misty does seem to be more settled but still looking over her shoulder whenever she hears the slightest sound but we are only about 6 weeks in, fingers crossed she will continue to improve. Before I adopted her at 3 yrs old, she didn’t know anything but a back garden with her sibling. As time went on, approximately 14 months, she settled really well, running free in the forest etc, then first a gun shot really close by got her attention, a while later, a train backfired, unfortunately that was it. Since then a car door being slammed, bin lid etc anything would send her into meltdown. Lock down helped a little, but not enough to get her confidence back. We still walk out but I’m mindful where & when I walk her. Any slight improvement is better than nothing, she coming up to 12 yrs old now so I’m not likely to ever get her back to when she enjoyed total freedom but hey ho, it is what it is. She is only off lead when she’s in a secured field etc.

          works well

my dog was a covid pup so wasn't socialised at all, didn't get the experience of being out and about at a young age to see the world and hear all the normal noises around, have tried various methods over he years to help with her anxiety, separation anxiety and all the other weirdness she has, sadly she has only improved slightly so we are now going down the supplement route. This works well for her and i can see she is calmer and more restful. She still barks at any movement outside !! and still freaks at a passing by speeding leaf but there are a lot of other traits that have calmed down, she is a happy hound which makes the family happier. I am pleased to have found a good supplement for her, I spoke to her vet about this and he was happy with the ingredients and he agreed that this is a good thing for her to have. She is a cockapoo but was the runt, she is a new dog breed - WonkyPoo
