Transition Your Dog to Omni Dry Food

Dogs have sensitive stomachs, and a gentle food switch is the secret to happy digestion. Here’s our tried-and-tested transition method.

DAYS 1-4

  • Mix 25% of Omni with 75% of your dog’s current food.
  • Watch for changes in appetite, stool consistency, or energy levels.
  • Keep mealtimes consistent to help your dog adjust smoothly.

DAYS 5-8

  • Increase the ratio to 50% Omni and 50% is the old food.
  • Monitor your dog’s digestion - mild changes are normal, but persistent issues may need slowing the transition.
  • Offer plenty of fresh water, since diet changes can affect hydration needs.

DAYS 9-12

  • Make Omni 75% of the meal with just 25% of the old food.
  • Continue watching stool quality; firm, well-formed stools are a good sign of adjustment.
  • Keep daily routines steady - exercise and feeding schedules help reduce stress during the change.

    Omni is Evie's favourite part of the day!

    Evie loves Omni Senior for her breakfast and dinner, but what makes me really chuckle is how excited she gets when we give her three little pieces of kibble just before she goes to bed, like how children would have cookies and a glass of warm milk. Evie's tail goes wild, she almost bunny-hops to the pantry, pointing her nose at the pantry door to as if to say "Hurry up then, serve me my pre-bedtime snack". It's the highlight of my day to see her look forward to this every evening!

    My two rescue dogs love it!

    It has made their coats softer and much darker in colour. Marco is 11 years old and had a lot of grey in his coat, now it is a rich red everywhere, with less grey on his face. His joints were very weak when he arrived but now he's full of bounce and youthful energy and can leap up onto my high bed! His bladder weakness has also stopped - amazing! I should note, however, that I mix this dry food with Fleetful's wet food, which I make from a recipe kit. The combination seems to be miraculous almost. 😁👍

    Ive only had my dogs for just over 4 months.

    She loves it!

    My little Matilda absolutely loves this food. And that is saying something as she is a very picky eater. I haven’t had to hand feed her ever with Omni, like I did with other food in the past. She has put on weight, which she needed to do, because she eats consistently now that she has a food that she loves. Thank you, you beautiful people at Omni.

    A Change For The Better

    Our beloved dog Noodle was having awful problems on a regular dry food we were purchasing. We decided to give Omni a try after seeing them on TV and FB. The initial offer of money off our order was very welcome and the delivery was fast and efficient. Noodle took to the Senior Dry food straight away, it smelt so much nicer than the food he was on before.
